We’re very excited to see all your smiling faces tomorrow in the park for our 7th Annual AYLI Picnic! But first, a few housekeeping items…
Elk Glen Meadow is in Golden Gate Park. The closest entrance is at 25th Ave & Lincoln Way. From there, enter the park and make a left on MLK Jr Drive. The meadow will be on your right. You can also enter 1000 Martin Luther King Jr Drive, San Francisco, into your GPS. Park Rangers will be patrolling and will ticket or tow any illegally parked vehicles so please observe all signs.
AYLI Picnic is a BYO-everything event. You’re welcome to bring beer and wine; technically hard liquor is not allowed in the park so please be discreet. There are a couple grills available on a first-come, first-served basis, if you’d like to bring anything to cook.
Other important rules:
1) Smoking is not allowed in any SF park. At the very least, please don’t throw cigarette butts on the ground as they are extremely difficult to clean up.
2) Dispose of all trash, help us leave the park in a better condition than we found it.
3) Please use the portapotties provided. Peeing in the bushes damages the park and could endanger our ability to produce these events in the future.
4) There will be Park Rangers patrolling the event, who have the same powers as normal police. Don’t do anything stupid out in the open, and don’t let others do it either. Our perfect record is the reason why we are one of the only crews still allowed to throw parties in the park, with your cooperation we’ll have many more Picnics to come.
Finally, while this event is free to attend, it is far from free to produce. Any amount you can donate (even only $5) is an enormous help in offsetting the costs of producing this event
